By using the site you accept these terms. They cover the website only. When you engage us for professional work, that work is governed by the engagement letter we agree with you.

Information, not advice

The content on this site is general information about UK tax, accounting and company law, written as at the date shown or the date it was last updated. It is not advice for your circumstances. Rules and deadlines change, and whether something applies to you depends on facts we won't know until we've spoken to you.

Please don't act, or decide not to act, on the strength of this website alone. Reading it, or sending us an enquiry, does not make you our client.

The personal tax estimator

The estimator gives an estimate only, using the rates and allowances for the tax year you choose and the figures you enter. It leaves some income and reliefs out, and these are listed on the estimator page. Don't rely on it for tax returns, payments or planning decisions without checking your position with an adviser. The figures you enter stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Sending us an enquiry

Our enquiry forms open your own email app with your message written out. Nothing reaches us until you send it. Please keep the first message brief and don't include passports, bank statements or other sensitive documents; we'll give you a secure way to send those once we've agreed to act. Before we discuss any matter involving other parties, we check for conflicts of interest.

Links to other websites

We link to other sites, including GOV.UK and LinkedIn, because they're useful. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

Accuracy and liability

We take care to keep this site accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee that everything on it is complete or current at the moment you read it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the content of this website or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
